Late on Friday afternoon pitch was still under water, apparently, and so that was that. On the one hand it's pretty disappointing to have missed out on our game, and it was certainly a surprise that it was cancelled so early (doubly so given how glorious Saturday was); but, given that we only had eight confirmed players, it was probably somewhat fortunate from the point of view of our fragile league standing.
