Report by Daniel Mortlock:
Romsey played out a pretty comfortable warm-up win against Remnants today. Individual highlights included Faruk Kara's bowling (4/19, and cleverly taking wickets with the last two deliveries of his second over, thus ensuring a third), Ferdi Rex's fielding (a superb direct-hit run out and great catch, to say nothing of winning the game with an enormous six) and Robin Eddington's batting (an even 50*, not that anyone thought to clap his half-century). The closest thing to a moment of tension was when a Mr Whippy van appeared at the ground and Andy threatened to go beserk . . . but he was stuck umpiring and so, sadly, the promised confrontation never happened. We surely stand a good chance of doing the same on Saturday if we can perform as well on Saturday as we did today.
