Report by Daniel Mortlock:
Tonight Romsey played a warm-up match that was anything but: it was cold enough that there was snow in Cambridge today and we had to come off for rain before resuming in an abbreviated 11x8s format. Fielding was a pretty miserable experience - the orange ball (necessary to see in the early-season gloom) was horrid to field and it wasn't much fun trying to simultaneously bowl and stay upright, so it was no surprise we conceded a big total. Chasing always seemed forlorn, especially when super-sub Dave Norman was bowled for 1, but James McNamara (40* off 44 balls) at least got some good batting practice.
