(The following Secretary's Report was delivered by Andy Owen at the 1993 AGM.)
We started the 1992 season in Division 3 South, our highest standard of cricket so far. We started the season well, winning four out of our first six matches, but then losing the next six, before finally winning our final match of the season. We finished third from bottom on the league table, which was a good achievement in this division.
In the Junior Cup (not the Lower Junior Cup) for the first time we were beaten in the first round by Fenstanton.
Congratulations to Rog Shelley on winning the bowling averages; the batting and the players' player of the year award was won by Andy Owen. Special mentions to Phil Bradford for taking the most catches, and also to Andy, Phil, Nigel Arnold and Agha Khan, who all scored fifties. Andy and Nigel also compiled the biggest partnership of the year, a 164-run stand against ???.
We again went to Wood Green, unfortunately losing; but again we couldn't field our strongest side.
This was the club's tenth season and we held an anniversary dinner at the University Arms Hotel - it was a well attended event that was enjoyed by all who came.
