(The following Secretary's Report was delivered by Andy Owen at the 1994 AGM.)
We started 1993 season in Division 3 South winning six out of fourteen games finishing second last in the league table and unfortunately getting relegated . . . but I have just found out that we have stayed in Division 3! We again kept our fine record in cup competitions, losing to Milton in the first round.
Congratulations to Nigel Arnold for winning the bowling and players' player of the year awards, and also to Alan Burge for winning the batting averages.
We again went on tour but this time it was in May, but again there was a lack of support. We tied (?) with Clumber Park on the Saturday and narrowly lost to Asbury Park (?) on the Sunday.
On the playing front last year there was successful news. We got off Trumpington and have moved onto Fitzwilliam College ground and this has been confirmed for the coming year.
On the front of mid-week cricket we entered the Business House League for the first time, winning five out of eight games and finishing up equal runners-up with the Civil Service.
In the indoor league we have, so far, won five out of seven games.
We again had a club dinner that was held at The Bun Shop and was very well attended.
